Meet my friend Marina

Hello! Another week here in cold LUGO!

This week we did a lot of walking, talking and laughing, like always!

We had INTERCAMBIOS (i think it English it's called splits?) where you go with the sister training leaders and work with them in their area for 24 hours. Anyways, we got to go to Vigo, and guess who is there? My cute hermanita jimenez, my companion from Los Cristianos! I was so excited to see her and it was so fun to serve with her again! It was amazing to see how much I have really grown, especially Spanish wise and it was so cool to teach with her - so many island memories were brought back!

To get there and back from LUGO to vigo, we had to take a train and a bus.

On the way back, we got on the wrong bus to LUGO, it still got us here but instead of going direct, we had a few stops. We had already had kind of a long day of travel and my companion and I were both pretty tired. We sat across from each other in the isles and the bus got pretty full quickly. There was a girl who got on and was looking for a seat, so I scooched over and she sat by me. I asked her how she was and from that moment for the next 45 minutes we talked. When we first started talking I had a little panic attack because I could not understand her. At all. Thank goodness for prayers and the gift of tongues. Her name is marina and she's 19 years old. As we talked, she was so fascinated that I was so young and I was a missionary here in spain. We talked about god, we talked about our families, school, work, and she even taught me a little gallego! (The language here in Galicia) she told me how she was going to meet with her best friend and she was going to tell her friend about how she met an American here in Spain who's a missionary.

we ended up changing social media information and she wants to keep in touch! We hugged and she hopped off the bus, and I was left in my seat with the biggest grin on my face. I don't know why, but that experience was so cool for me. All I did was ask her how she was and the conversation was so natural and so real. Just be yourself!

I dont have much to say, and I'm sorry I never know what I should write.

What I do know is that we have a father in heaven who knows us and loves us. I've had a lot of different challenges thrown at me the last few weeks, and I know the adversary is always working hard to stop the work of the lord, to bring us down and to distract us... don't give in! Go to church, read the scriptures and say your prayers!

I know He lives and I know that god loves us, we are his children and he wants to hear from us!

Have a great week, don't forget to smile and serve!
