Angel, the little 5-year old

Hi hi hi!

What a week we've had here. I know I only wrote last Wednesday but this week has been crazy! We started with intercambios on Monday/Tuesday, Wednesday we went to the temple, Thursday/Friday we had intercambios and Saturday my companion and I made a quick surprise trip to Madrid to take some hermanas breakfast. Hermana Barlow and I are companions but we feel like we are never together because we're always running around. It's been a crazy but very humbling week. We've really had to turn to Heavenly Father in prayer just asking for spiritual and physical strength and guidance. I have grown such a strong testimony that he is there, he knows what we need and he really is there to come help and rescue us. I'm sorry this is so short, but it's just been a crazy day. I just wanted to share a quick miracle from this week about our little friend angel. I think I've talked about him before, but angelito is the little 5-year old that Dora (our friend) takes care of. When I first got here in march, Angel, if you could say this... was a little bug. He was so crazy, always running around, screaming, and just a little 5-year old. This past week, we stopped by Dora's to visit her and she had to leave so we asked if we could just leave her with a prayer. We ended up helping angelito say the prayer and it was one of the coolest things ever. Dora, our friend who is learning about Christ and changing, has had such a giant impact on Angel and has helped him change and be better. He helps her clean, he loves Dora, he sits there quietly and he is more obedient. I guess I just want to testify and say that God works miracles and I am so happy to see this change that the gospel has made in this little child of God!

I'm sorry I am so short on time.

I just wanted to thank my cute mom for bringing me into this world 21 years ago! (And paps too!) I've had a great birthday, we took a much needed nap this morning and we ate at a yummy American restaurant. Tomorrow we go to zone conference and it'll be my last one..ekkk where has the time gone?!

I love the mission and I love serving my savior. Here's to another week in beautiful Spain!

little mini "park day"

Heya!

What a great week we've had here! Sorry I didn't write on Monday, we had temple day today! Crazy to think that this was my last temple day in the mission... i have truly had some increíble, life changing experiences in the beautiful Spain Madrid temple.

This week was a crazy week- started with the leadership meeting with president/Hermana Pack, we've had 2 intercambios, we've talked to a TON of people, and it's been hot! We've seen a ton of miracles this past week and I'm excited to share!

So last Wednesday we were headed to meet with a family... I'm not exactly sure how or why... but we ended up leaving our house like 40 minutes late so we were running late to our appointment (which I don't like at all...) as we were quickly walking there, I'm not exactly sure what happened, bit the spirit literally picked me up, and walked me across the street to help a lady who was taking her trash out. It took her a second to let her let me help her with the trash, but she finally gave in and was grateful for the help. We ended up all walking to the trash bin together and she asked what we were doing there.. we ended up sharing a little about the restoration, the Book of Mormon and we got her number! (And we're going to meet with her this week!) before we left, she thanked us and told us how we were little angels sent to her because just before leaving her house, she wasn't sure how she would be able to take it because she has muscle problems in her arm. She thanked us again and we were on our way. This was such a miracle to me and God just showing that he's there, his hand is in the work, because we were where we needed to be, when we needed to be there.

So that was Wednesday, Thursday Friday we had exchanges with the Hermana's which was fun and a lot of work! We did a little mini "park day" so we left our piso earlier than usual because here in Guadalajara , there is no one in the streets from like 1-8:30ish because it's just SO hot. We went out to a park nearby and set goals, the 4 of us and we went out for about 45 minutes until we came back. Miracles were seen, we talked to so many people, and found some increíble people! I love the new schedule changed that happened in January because we can get creative about when and how we do things because that truly what we have to do here!

Friday night we did the pancarta (the picture of Christ) with some members and it was also amazing! I didn't have the violin, but I got the chance to play a viola from one of the members! Haha a little different, but it worked! After I played for a few minutes, I let him play it (the bishops son) because it's his, haha, he plays well and I wanted to talk to some people. Hermana Barlow and I were out there with our ward mission leader and Enrique who is a recent convert who just got baptized about a month ago! It was amazing to see them putting themselves out there and just working hard and giving it their all to try and talk to the people and share their testimonies.

Sunday was a great day at church! Dora and yatzo came for all 3 hours and it was amazing. The spirit was so strong in all the classes and the members are really growing together and seeing the blessings as we have to sacrifice a little to get to the chapel in Azuqueca. It makes me think of Mosiah 2:41- consider the blessed and happy state of those who keep the commandments. We are blessed and happy when we keep the commandments!

Dora still has her baptismal date within these next few weeks and we had a really cool experience with Yatzo and putting a Baptismal date for him. Heavenly Father truly has been preparing people and we are being blessed to find and work with these people.

I feel so blessed to be here as a missionary and I love wearing Christ's name on my chest and close to my heart everyday. I know that He is our savior, I know that he is ALWAYS there for us. Ups and downs, goods and bads. He knows us. Personally and perfectly! Everyday is a new day, a new start.. so Smile, work hard, and serve those around you. There's always a kind word to say, a smile to share, a friend to make, and a hand to lend.

Have a great week and I'll be back next week!

Dora is back!!!

Hello hello!

Another week has come and gone here in Guadalajara and I'm still loving every minute! We've had a busy week this week and it's been fun running around with Hermana Barlow introducing her to people and learning together. She is a máquina and we're always on the go. It's going to be a great transfer full of miracles! Speaking of miracles... I wanted to talk about our good friend Dora! I feel bad because I don't write too much about our friends, but sometimes they come and go, it's up and down and I'm never really sure what I should and can write... but this week - a giant prayer was answered.

We met Dora on my very first day here in Guadalajara with Hermana Estrada and we worked really hard with her for those 2 transfers. When hermana karlen came, I'm not exactly sure what happened, but we could never met with Dora and she would never pick up or she was never home. (A trail of faith and patience!) The last week with hermana karlen we finally got ahold of her and met with her. Dora told us that she has beautiful things to tell us... so this week, we go to meet with her and we talked about the spirit and how we can receive answers and the importance of revelation. All of a sudden.. Dora tells us about an experience that she had a work and how God just always answers her prayers and how she always receives the strength that she needs to work and do what she needs to get done. She then testifies to us about how she knows that god loves her, that Jesucristo is her savior, that the Book of Mormon is true and then, she tells us that the way she can show god her love and how much she loves him is by being baptized! (😁🤣🙃😯😭😄) my heart was so full and we just testified to her and told her how much God truly does love her. This has been such a cool thing for me because we worked so hard through all of this, but she just needed a little more time. She needed that transfer "rest" and the fruits are being seen now! The fight still isn't up- so we keep praying, keep working, and we just turn it all to God because this is truly his work. But ahh, I'm so so excited for Dorita!

This past week all of the youth from the spain Madrid mission went to efy and so yesterday they got to bear their testimonies in sacrament meeting. They all came back with FIRE in them and they were all just filled with the Holy Ghost. On of the 14 year olds got up and testified about how spending a week in a "Zion hotel" was amazing, but when he walked out and was on the real street, he realized how many people didn't (and don't!) have  gospel and how there is so much work for us to do. This coming out of a little ones mouth was so powerful and the spirit was so strong. I am so grateful for the experiences that I had at EFY and HEFY when I was younger and I feel so blessed for just he knowledge that we have of the restoration. I know that Jesucristo is our savior, i know that He lives and I know that he loves us. I'm headed off for the week so I'll be back next week! Have a great week! Hope you're reading in the Book of Mormon and praying everyday.

I know that God knows and loves us- perfectly!!! ❤️❤️
