#ILUMINAELMUNDO

Buenas! How are you all??

This week was an interesting week- of course full of miracles, stories, FOOD, and gratitude. I hope everyone had a great day of thanksgiving! We are so blessed!

We had a zone training in Santa Cruz Thursday, so after the training we got to celebrate and we had a little bit of a thanksgiving feast. It was all the missionaries here on the island and it was really fun! I wasn't feeling too well Thursday morning, so when it came time to eat, I didn't eat too much. While we were there, one of our less active members Luis called us and told us that he had a surprise for us and we needed to be at his house at 7. We walk in and the table was set and we were going to eat completos! (Chilean hot dogs..) ahhh I was already so full from the little I had eaten before, and not feeling well on top of that, but there we were about to eat. I said a giant prayer for my companion and I and we made it out. So blessed for food prayers! Haha (and they were actually really good!)

I think one of my favorite parts of this week was meeting with our friend Elaine. She is our miracle friend and she is still on for her baptism in 2 weeks! We taught her twice this week and she was so receptive to everything! We teach, she asks questions, and she accepts- she is definitely prepared for the gospel! I am so grateful for her and for her love for us, the gospel and her love for our Savior.

So the biggest thing I wanted to share this week.. #ILUMINAELMUNDO. (Pretty sure in English it's #LIGHTTHEWORLD) I am so excited for this and it is so amazing! Every year the church makes a new Christmas campaign and this year it is so incredible! So, I want to invite whomever is reading this to go onto MORMON.org and check it out. First watch the first video to get you started. They have made a video for everyday in December and a calendar with ideas of what to do to help serve and to become more like our Savior. Christmas is a time to reflect on our Savior and this is only a help to guide us, and I think it's amazing! We had our zone training on this last week, and we are so excited to get going and inviting others to serve like our savior this Christmas season. I know he lives, I know he is truly the light of the world and I know we can be lights as well. This Christmas season I feel so blessed to be a representative of him, and everyday I try to be more like him, say what he would say, and do what he would do.

My invitation this week is to BE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. We are so blessed to have the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are so blessed to have a savior and know that through him we can live with our families forever. Share your light with those around you, be an example, and serve!

Have a great week, and I'll be back next week!

Ps.. this week our friend Andres is moving back to Italy... i don't know if anyone remembers him.. but I am so grateful for him. Sad to see him go, and sad we'll lose contact for a bit, but so grateful for these people that have become such a big influence in my life.

I feel so grateful to be here in Tenerife, and to be on a mission.
Life is great, the church is true, I'm a child of God and so are you!

Have a great week!

Much love, Hermanita Curtis
