How’s it going? Not much to write today because I wrote like 2
days ago, that is what I was planning on saying for today. It’s been an
emotional morning knowing that today is the funeral, and as hard as it is,
there is seriously no place I would rather be. I’m so glad you had the special
opportunity to help put grandma’s temple clothing on. We go to the temple in
about an hour and I’m so ready for that and I need that right now. I love the
temple because it is where I truly feel the closest to the lord and the veil is
truly so thin. Thank you mom for all of the memories we have in various temples
across Utah. It’s amazing how much strength and comfort I have felt at this
time. The moments I think I can’t do anymore, learn anymore, or speak anything
else, the spirit comes in and picks me right up, and I KNOW that both grandma
and grandpa are here right by my side helping along.
Yesterday we had a really cool experience with our lesson and processing
investigator. On Tuesday night, we felt prompted to invite her to be baptized, it
went well and she said yes! Yesterday, Wednesday, we were so stumped all day
long. We prayed, prayed, studied, prayed and tried so hard all day to be guided
by the spirit to know what to teach her and where to go with the lesson.... It
was so stressful because nothing was coming, but that was the moment we needed
to have faith and trust in the Lord. We went into the lesson with the biggest
prayer in our hearts hoping something would happen... HALLELUJAH because she
had questions about baptism!! yay!! bad news... I forget to grab our Spanish
folletos...... so, when I was trying to explain baptism, and I didn’t know the
words, what did I do?? I drew a picture of the font and tried my best to
describe what happens.... luckily I noticed in a nearby desk there was a
folleto.... problem? it was in Russian..... good thing it has the same
pictures?!? haha our personalities definitely came out in that lesson and it
was good. GOD is watching out for me, especially at this time and I’m grateful
for his love and confidence, and trust in me.
Thank you for all of your love, support, and prayers at this time,
I can feel them more than you know!!
Everyone here has been so supportive and loving to me at the time.
My district is amazing, Presidente and his wife are the best, the teachers are
amazing, and my companion is so loving and patient with me.
All is well here and we take things poco a poco. Things are
coming, but there is always something new to learn and improve on.
Look on the spain ccm facebook, I think they posted a video of us singing
on the steps last Sunday? check it out.
Hope all is well with family and friends at home. Give everyone
extra hugs today, and I will be there in spirit.
I know God lives, I know we have a Savior, and I know that when we
are humble, have faith and turn to God in times of need, he will help us
through everything!
POR MEDIO DEL ESPIRITU SANTO PODEMOS RECIBIR CONSUELO EN LAS
PRUEBAS, Y YO SÉ QUE DIOS ES NUESTRO PADRE CELESTIAL Y PODEMOS REGRESAR A DIOS
Y LAS FAMILIAS SON ETERNA.
Have a great day, I’m thinking of you all extra extra on this
special day!
con mucho mucho amor from a very blessed hermana in spain...
Hermana Curtis
